Community:
Participate in 3 community giving activities that the troop hosts.
Let a troop leader know when you have participated in 3 community giving activities that the troop hosts.
Show your signed attendance sheet showing the 3 months.
Fundraising:
Help organize a fundraiser for our troop to benefit an approved charity.
Journal the process through writing or pictures, get creative.
Report grand total to troop & show proof of donation to troop Leader
Mentor:
Bring a new potential scout to a troop meeting.
Introduce them to the group.
Make sure you help them feel welcome and understand what it takes to be a scout.
Let the badge coordinator or a troop leader know you helped a new scout join.
Educator:
Teach the troop something new or be an educator for an approved event or group.
Create a material list or provided needed materials.
Help fellow troop members to learn what you have chosen to teach.
Design the badge the scouts will earn or help the troop leader design it if teaching something to the troop
Subject must be approved by troop leader or proof of being an educator at an event must be provided.
Ambassador:
Be an ambassador for the South Central Scouts Troop and bring awareness to others in the community or at other groups/events.
Hand out troop business cards or fliers to those interested in little scouting.
Must wear your troop uniform when being an ambassador.
Request business cards or fliers from a troop leader before attending the event.
Present your experience of being an ambassador to your fellow scouts.
Volunteering:
Help the troop leader with set up and clean up 3 times.
Or volunteer at a local approved charity.
Or volunteer at an event, meeting, or outing.
Must make arrangements with a troop leader prior to the meeting/outing, event, or charity you plan to volunteer at.
Event Host:
Plan an event, outing or field trip.
This can be fun or educational.
Speak with troop leader for scheduling and approval of idea.
Attendance:
Must attend 10 troop meetings in a given year.
Check with the badge coordinator when you think you have met this requirement.
Attendance badges can be earned every year by all scouts who qualify.
First Aid:
You can do a free online class & bring in the certificate.
You can take an online first aid class with the red cross & bring in certificate.
The troop will have an organized first aid class.
Initiative AKA Llama Scout:
Must show to be an outstanding scout who has gone above & beyond by being alert to what needs to be done and doing it without being asked.
Presentation of this badge is decided by a troop leader.

Decorate cookies and bring them with you to a troop meeting to show off and share!
Be creative and use things that inspire you from frosting to candy.
Let a troop leader know you did this for your cookie decorating badge.
Scouting for History: Hershey Story Museum
Complete the "Scouting for History" workbook in the museum experience
Attend a Chocolate Lab class or take part in a Chocolate Tasting
Take your completed workbook & proof of activity to the front desk for your patch
Soap Making
Visit the Sunrise Soap Companies: Creation Station and complete the following:
Learn to make your own soap and make some to take home
Learn to make 1 other bath product of your choosing and make some to take home (bath fizzies, lotion, scrubs, lip balm, etc)
Take pictures of your creations and share them with your fellow scouts
Gaming
Attend and participate in a board gaming day with friends. Try a new game you have never played
Visit an arcade by yourself or with friends and play video games, make sure to check out the new and old school games
Play some carnival style games by visiting somewhere like a fair, amusement park, or other venue that has games where the object is to try and win prizes

Create & cook 2 recipes
They must be from 2 different categories. Examples: Breakfast, Appetizer, Snack, Entree, Desert, etc
At Least one recipe must contain cooking of some sort. One can be a no bake recipe if you would like, but is not required.
You are welcome to use premade ingredients as long as you are giving them your own flair and added twist!
Write out your recipe like you would see in a cookbook. Be sure to include your ingredients and all directions.
Take a picture of your finished product!

Fitness
If you have a fitbit or smart watch that tracks your steps use it to earn this badge.
Complete 100,000 steps
Keep a daily log until you reach the goal
If you do not have a step tracker you can walk on a treadmill, elliptical, bike, or swim.
Complete a total of 50 miles
Make sure you log each day your completed miles
Turn in your step or mile log to a troop leader to earn your badge.
Museums
Visit 3 museums virtually. A list of 12 can be found on this website, but you are welcome to visit any virtual museum that interests you.
Make a list of the museums you visited and what your favorite thing was at each.
Email your list to the troop or post in the facebook/fetlife thread.
Drawing
Complete 2 drawings using instructional videos found on YouTube.
Search drawing tutorials on youtube or google to find some of your own.
Email your completed drawings to the troop or post on the facebook thread.

A troop leader will make an announcement about the food drive prior to the months donations will be accepted.
Clothing Drive
Bring 5 clean, gently used clothing items you no longer need to be donated to a local shelter.

Bring a new unwrapped toy to be donated to Toys for Tots.
